Meet MIJAS COSTA and some neighbour hoods!!!
A very well established area only a short drive away from the airport in Málaga and the towns of Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella. Plenty of nice beaches, golf courses, horseback riding, water sports & fishing and many other leisure activities. Within every 8 to 10km, you also find a large shopping modern shopping mall.El Faro
This urbanization is just West of Fuengirola and has a mix of sandy and rocky beaches, one stretch of the beach is reserved for taking out your dog and El Faro also offers some urbanizations of apartments, but mainly consist of Villas with private plots.
El Chaparral
Do you want to play excellent Golf? You cannot miss the Golf course of Chaparral. El Chaparral is located just across the beach and full of small neighbourhoods with a lot of privacy. Here you find a lot of villas with gardens and pool, most of them offering also a great view to the sea. Chaparral also is frequently asked for due to its proximity of the town of La Cala de Mijas, this lush green area famous for its abundant pine trees, features a beautiful 18-hole golf course.
La Cala De Mijas
Probably most known is this famous village between Fuengirola and Marbella. La Cala de Mijas is the only actual village on this coastal strip. Therefore, it offers a few more services and amenities than some of the other neighbouring areas. Traditionally a fishing village, in recent years it has undergone some changes giving a bit more of an international appeal without losing its typically Andalusian identity. The area is sought after with its great beaches. Golf courses in the immediate vicinity are La Noria (9H) and Calanova Golf (18H)
La Cala Golf Resort & Mijas Golf
Inland of La Cala de Mijas you can find beautiful nature and the accompanying peace and tranquillity. The area is famous for its golf courses such as Santana Golf (18H) and a bit further Mijas Golf (2 x 18H) but the most prestigious in the area is the La Cala Golf Resort with three 18 Hole Courses, a 5-star Hotel with superb Spa facilities. The international School of St. Anthony’s is also nearby.
Riviera del Sol
A large area which is quite densely constructed upon with both holiday apartments and homes. Plenty of shops, restaurants, or bars to choose from. Local sports facilities include two tennis clubs and a nearby gym. The famous Miraflores urbanization and its corresponding Miraflores Golf Club (18H) are also situated in this region.
Calahonda
Similarly, to Riviera, Calahonda is another area with high construction density of holiday apartments and homes. Great infrastructure with lots of shops, bars and restaurants are available in the area. Access to the toll road leading to either Malaga or Marbella, saving you time, mainly in the summer when traffic hits most along the coast. Calahonda also offers a gym, a large tennis club and other features which make this location so desirable to many.
Torrenueva
This is the most elevated area along the coastal stretch. A mix of apartments and beautiful villas, also offering a great infrastructure and access to the famous beachside walk, completed in recent years. A few interesting spots here would be Vitania Beach Club and Oceano Hotel to just name a few.
